Jess Slender (BA Hons, DipHB), is a mother of three young children, a hypnobirthing practitioner, birth doula, bone closer, Positive Birth Movement group facilitator for Biggleswade and co-facilitator for North Herts. She is vice-chair of the Rosie Maternity Voices Partnership at Addenbrookes, striving to improve maternity services for families in the area. She is also a member of the hypnobirthing association. She qualified to teach hypnobirthing in 2014 and teaches an inclusive course which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. Since then Jess has trained in postnatal massage and to be a birth partner and a doula. Jess has supported women in their labours and births at home and in hospital using the techniques she teaches on the course to help the birthing woman and her partner remain calm and in control no matter what route they take for their birth. Above all Jess is passionate that every woman giving birth is informed and prepared and understands her choices, knowing how her mind and body can work together to facilitate a positive birth experience, with the tools to prepare her mind and body, no matter how she births.
