Massage Sadie Centre

 Aromatherapy Massage

This personalised, therapeutic full body massage unites deeply relaxing, targeted massage with luxurious and nourishing essential oils. The blend of oils is tailor-made by a qualified aromatherapist, carefully taking into account the physical and emotional needs of each individual. Aromatherapy can help release muscle tension, reduce muscular pain and help bring about a sense of calm and balance.

Advanced + Deep Tissue Massage

Advanced & Deep Tissue Massage is recommended in cases of physical injury, chronic pain or for people regularly involved in heavy physical activity.  It targets your specified areas of concern,  working deeply within muscles and connective tissue and addressing trigger points. It also helps break up adhesions (internal scar tissue) which can cause pain and restricted movement, thus bringing long-lasting relief and improved mobility.

Clinical Massage

Clinical massage draws on a variety of techniques in order to achieve a specific outcome, for example eliminating or significantly reducing long-term pain. Sports Massage techniques are blended with Deep Tissue, Hot/Cold Stones, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release and Sports and Thai Yoga Stretching. Deep tissue techniques are used in a specific way to avoid causing pain. In order to speed up recovery, the therapist often provides guidance to the client with the emphasis on self-care.

Facial Massage

Natural Lift Facial uses techniques drawn from Japanese and Indian Face Massage, Acupressure and Reflexology.  Facial massage helps promote healthy skin while relaxing your facial muscles. It has a relaxing and rejuvenating effect, providing relief from facial and neck tension and imparting a lovely, natural glow.

Holistic Massage

A fully personalised treatment based on your needs and desired results. Holistic Massage covers Swedish and Myofascial Release Massage. Our therapist will speak to you on the day of your appointment to work out which treatment you will receive based on your needs.

Hot Stone Massage

A deeply relaxing treatment, using heated stones to melt deep muscle tension and tissue adhesions (areas which restrict movement). The heat allows the massage to penetrate more deeply into the body so even your most tense, pain-causing muscles can be relaxed. Hot stone massage is useful for a variety of ailments, including muscle tension, arthritic conditions, back pain, nervous conditions, stress and anxiety. Alternatively, simply allow the warm stones to relax your body and mind, helping you to unwind and your body to feel rejuvenated.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage incorporates Shiatsu and Acupressure. A rhythmic sequence of movements induces a sense of grounding, whilst rejuvenating the scalp and releasing tension in the face, neck and shoulders. This form of massage restores balance within the body, improving mood and energy levels.

Myofascial Release Massage

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective technique to ease pain, restore motion and improve flexibility. Fascia is a casing of connective tissue that envelops every muscle, bone and organ, providing the environment for nerves and vessels to function. If the fascial system receives stress or trauma- either physical or emotional- the fascia tends to shorten and solidify, restricting the flow of fluids, thus restricting the flow of nutrients to the cells. This creates pain and restricts mobility of the joints.

Your therapist will identify stiff or tightened areas in the fascia and apply gentle sustained pressure to these trigger points until the tension releases, leaving you feeling lighter and more open.

Reflexology

Reflexology incorporates the wisdom of many ancient healing traditions, and has been used successfully for thousands of years. It works by targeting specific reflex points on the feet which correspond to different organs or systems within the body. This can aid the body's own healing processes and allow you to achieve a deep sense of well-being. This complementary therapy is non-invasive and deeply relaxing, helping restore the body’s balance.

Sports Therapy Massage

Sports therapy treatments have been proven to be some of the most effective methods of treating soft tissue injuries which cause pain and restrict movement. Advanced deep connective tissue techniques are employed to break down internal scar tissue, realign muscle fibres and assist in the dispersal of waste products.  This encourages healing, reduces pain and stiffness, improves circulation and increases muscle and joint suppleness.  It can also work to prevent additional injury by addressing existing muscle weakness.  Ultrasound and infrared lamps are available on request and as appropriate.

Swedish Body Massage

Relieves muscle tension and soothes aches, pains, stresses and strains. Both relaxing and invigorating, Swedish massage is a whole-body therapeutic massage that works the soft tissues and muscles to help restore health; creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system. It combines different massage strokes with acupressure techniques, soothing tight muscles and leaving you feeling relaxed and revived.
